LAST WILL AND TESTAMENT
IN THE NAME OF GOD AMEN
Be it known to all whom it may concern that I Rebecca Smith of Walham Green in the parish of Fulham in the County of Middlesex, widow, being of sound mind and memory do declare the following to be my last Will and Testament. I give and bequeath to my brother Richard Ragless, during the term of his natural life, the dividends arising from all the money belonging to me that may be left in the Bank of England at my decease after all my just debts are paid and at the death of the said Richard Ragless I give and bequeath to Mary Ann Bohne the sum of ten pounds and to Rebecca Bohne the sum of five pounds, both daughters of John and Jane Bohne, likewise to Margaret Elizabeth Morland the sum of ten pounds and to Ann Selina Morland the sum of five pounds, both daughters of John and Sarah Morland. It is also my will and desire that after the aforesaid legacies are paid, all money remaining in the Bank of England be equally divided between John Ragless my nephew and Sarah Ann Morland and Jane Bohne my nieces, son and daughters of Richard and Mary Ragless. I appoint my brother Richard Ragless of Angmering, Sussex and John Winterbottom surgeon of Walham Green, Middlesex, the Executors of this my last Will and Testament made in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and thirty. I also bequeath to my nephew Frederick Crowley, son of John and Rebecca Crowley the sum of ten pounds. Appeared Personally John Winterbottom of Walham Green in the County of Middlesex, Gentleman, and made oath that having now with particular care and attention viewed and perused the paper writing hereunto annexed purporting to be and contain the last will and testament of Rebecca Smith late of Walham Green in the parish of Fulham in the County of Middlesex, widow, deceased, beginning thus "In the Name of God Amen. Be it known to all whom it may concern that I Rebecca Smith of Walham Green in the parish of Fulham in the County of Middlesex, widow", ending thus "I also bequeath to my nephew Frederick Crowley, the son of John and Rebecca Crowley, the sum of ten pounds" and thus subscribed "Rebecca Smith" and having no month or day as a date in the body of such will but having the following endorsement thereon "February 19th 1830 the will of Rebecca Smith of Walham Green, widow", and having noticed the writer's words as the ending of such will which appear to have been introduced after the will had otherwise been made complete, this deponent saith that he is the surviving executor named in the said will and one of the subscribing witnesses to the due execution thereof and that at such execution he read the said will to the said deceased and the said writer's words forming the end of the said will were inserted therein and after he had so read the same the said deceased fully approved thereof and executed the same by signing her name as therein now appears and the same was so executed on the nineteenth day of February one thousand eight hundred and thirty and he lastly made oath that he has renounced the probate and execution of the said will and that he has not and does not intend to intermeddle in the estate and effects of the said deceased. On 4th April 1835 Admon - with the will annexed- of the goods, chattels and credits of the late Rebecca Smith late of Walham Green in the County of Middlesex, widow deceased, was granted to Jane Bohne, wife of John Bohne, the lawful niece and one of the next of kin of the said deceased, having been first sworn duly to adminster, John Winterbottom, the surviving executor, having first renounced the probate and execution of the said will and no residuary legatee being therein named.
