[612] A Jesuit. He was imprisoned at Aberdeen in May 1647, and afterwards removed to Edinburgh. Through the influence of the French ambassador he was released in July 1648, and was ordered to quit the realm, under penalty of death should he venture to return. Afterwards he was rector of the Scotch College at Rome.
