[1175] Details from Army Service Records at National Archives. Middlesex Regt. (7891) on enlistment, transferred to Agricultural C. (Labour Corps.) in 1917. Medals: Victory, British and 1915 Star. Physical details, 5' 6" tall, chest 36", tattoos on both arms (details on Attestation Record).. Committed 2 offences at Pirbright Training Centre: 4th July 1915 Overstaying his pass & 7 days confined to barracks. 19th July 1915 Refusing to obey an order and given a 5-day field punishment (shackled but not fixed). Wounded in action: Gunshot wounds left thigh Oct. 1915 and back Aug. 1916. Awarded Victory and Britsh Medals and 1914/15 Star. Also presumably the Silver Wound Badge.
